Tashkent State Medical University
Founded in 1920 as the Faculty of Medicine at Turkestan State University, Tashkent State Medical University has established itself as the premier institution for medical education in Central Asia. The Tashkent Medical Academy was formed in 2005 by merging the First and Second Tashkent State Medical Institutes through a Presidential Decree.

The university includes six faculties, 52 departments, a Multidisciplinary Clinic, and an Interuniversity Research Scientific Laboratory. Three branches function as independent institutions in Urgench, Termez, and Fergana. In 2020, Times Higher Education (THE) ranked TSMU 301+ in Medicine and Health Sciences globally.
MBBS degree from TSMU is recognized worldwide by WHO, NMC, UNESCO, FAIMER, and ECFMG, enabling graduates to practice medicine globally.
